Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA)

Illinois is expanding its clean energy workforce! You can join a training program to begin a career in clean energy or get support to grow your clean energy business. These programs are part of the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA).

The Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (Public Act 102-0662) was signed into law by Governor Pritzker on September 15, 2021. CEJA is comprehensive legislation that establishes the Illinois policy to equitably transition the state to 100 percent clean energy by 2050. CEJA incentivizes renewable energy development; accelerates electric vehicle (EV) adoption and expands charging station infrastructure; creates statewide clean energy workforce training programs to ensure our workforce is prepared for the jobs of the future; and equitably supports communities facing energy transitions and much more.
