Available Services​​
​​If you have been impacted by a layoff or facility closure or received notice of a pending layoff/facility closure, you may be eligible for dislocated worker services at an Illinois workNet® American Job Center near you.​ Illinois workNet® American Job Centers are comprehensive career centers that provide access to various job seeker resources and connections to human services agencies that may be beneficial at this time. Illinois workNet® American Job Centers also offer in-person resources, such as public access to a resource room to benefit job-seeking efforts, individualized career services, and access to training programs to make a job seeker more marketable.

Services are funded by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and the United States Department of Labor to help job seekers and workers access employment, education, training, and support services to succeed in today's labor market.

The Illinois Department of Labor administers and enforces the Worker Adjustment Retraining Act Notice (WARN) Law.  For more information about worker rights, visit https://labor.illinois.gov/complaints​​

Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA)​ Act​
IMPORTANT NOTICE: On July 1, 2022, the termination provision under Section 285(a) of the Trade Act of 1974, as amended, took effect. Until further notice, the Department may not issue any new determinations. Workers who were certified and separated from their jobs on or before June 30, 2022, may still be eligible for benefits and services.

Individuals who lost their jobs due to foreign trade may be eligible for additional benefits. View Trade Layoff Services for more information.
