This project will transition the Illinois Workforce Development Systems (IWDS) Title I and Trade data to a new system. It is anticipated that this will allow for the sunset of IWDS at the end of 2025. IWDS has successfully maintained all WIOA Title I and Trade data required by DOL for the past 17 years and has been the primary system for reporting. The goal of this project is to replace the current IWDS system by fully replicating the current functionality of the application, utilizing a more modern development platform. The transition will result in a more intuitive and modern application as the Minimum Viable Product (MVP), meeting the state requirements for a case management and monitoring system; including but not limited to, Administrative Functions, Local Customer Information, Case Management, Grant Management Information, Entity Management, Training Provider and Training Program Information, TAA Voucher Information, Performance Management, and Reporting. The foundational MVP establishes an infrastructure for integrating all DCEO state workforce programs, streamlines service integration, and connects to other systems, such as the Illinois Longitudinal Database System or other open-source employment and training components.
